Multiple Countries Blocked From Booking Disney World Trips – Inside the Magic

The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, is one of the world”s most popular and successful vacation destinations, providing the thousands of guests that visit it each and every day with countless fun and magical activities to explore. From classic dark rides to thrilling roller coasters, there”s no end in sight to all of the incredible experiences waiting for guests at the four theme parks, two water parks, and Disney Springs, the resort”s premier shopping and dining district.
However, Walt Disney World can only be experienced with months of planning, requiring guests to plan ahead and make reservations, which a large chunk are now unable to do. According to reports, guests planning trips to Disney World from the United Kingdom are being blocked from doing so due to recent changes to privacy laws.
A guest living in the United Kingdom recently shared their troubling and concerning experience of being blocked from making dining reservations within the 60-day period for their upcoming trip. Multiple attempts at making reservations simply resulted in error messages popping up on the app. Eventually, the guest moved over to the official website, where they were able to chat with a real Walt Disney World cast member and explain the situation.
Walt Disney World is a popular vacation spot, not just for American guests but for international guests a swell, with Magic Kingdom being the most popular theme park in the world. Walt Disney World opens itself up to international guests, ensuring experiences are tailored to a general audience.

A Walt Disney World Sales and Solutions team confirmed this error is due to a change in international laws and shared the following information.
Due to the communication laws in place regarding the sharing of personal information via the web for many countries, at this time, certain Disney Dining Experiences and Enchanting Extras reservations are unavailable to be booked through our international website and app. These laws are in place to protect you and ensure your private information remains private.
The cast member says that due to communication laws, certain Disney Dining Experiences are unavailable to book through the website and app. These laws are reportedly in place to protect guests” privacy but make the reservation and planning phase of their Walt Disney World vacation a lot harder.
Several guests commented online, talking about how annoying and difficult it is to visit Walt Disney World now.
“I”m in the UK and booked mine last week. There is a way of doing it,” said April. “Disney really needs to fix this situation so we don”t have to faff to make bookings.”
“Yeh it’s been terrible,” said Puneet Jassi. “Luckily I found a tip to use VPN and it worked for me.
Hopefully, something will be done about this change soon, and Disney will be able to make booking a trip easier for its international guests, as this issue does not just affect the United Kingdom but a plethora of other countries.
Guests can get a taste of what the United Kingdom is like thanks to the U.K. pavilion in World Showcase at EPCOT. This little sliver of European life allows guests to grab a few drinks or bites to eat and live in a miniature United Kingdom world. The level of detail here, as well as in the rest of the countries in World Showcase, is astounding, making guests feel as though they”ve just come off an around-the-globe flight and landed in London.
